From the Manufacturer This HSS (High Speed Steel) will produce intricately-carved rosettes or even raised panels on a drill press. You can also plane smaller stock by using the flat profile knife. Knives are ground on opposite sides, so only one knife is needed. For best results, we advise using birch, cherry or oak, at machine speeds of 250 - 350 RPM.
