These eye bolts are made of heavy duty galvanized steel for strength and durability. This eyebolt does not have a shoulder so it is meant for straight line pulls only. An eye bolt is primarily used as an anchor point for connection of wire rope and other rigging hardware to a fixed ending point and the galvanized coating adds to the eye bolt's corrosion resistance. Please note: Loading at an angle will significantly reduce a bolt's rated capacity; a 45 degree angle reduces it to just 1/4 of the stated rating. Never load at an angle greater than 45 degrees from the bolt center line.
