The Transgender Cult: Psychology, Politics, Religion and the Media Kindle Edition

This book examines the transgender movement, which began in 2015 and saw an explosive rise in (primarily young) persons claiming to be transgender. The conclusion is that the transgender movement is one of those castration cults that periodically surface throughout history (Skopty, Heaven's Gate, Cybelene). Apostates (those who have detransitioned or have expressed regret) are demonized and censored. In this, they are aided by supporters of the cult within the media and in society who ignore the apostates and any information that makes the cult look bad. For celebrities, having a transgender child has become a status symbol. Worse, politics has played a role. After an extensive review of journals, another conclusion is that the movement follows the same pattern as copycat crimes, copycat suicides, and fads and is, therefore, a manifestation of social contagion (prior to 2015, how many transgenders did you know?). Additionally, women have been victimized by the movement. Lastly, psychologists and physicians who encourage and support "gender affirmation" are guilty of malpractice and should have their licenses revoked. Read more
