Best summed up as a big, dark, and strongly flavored ale, Strange Brew's Imperial Stout is truely the king of stouts. This beer will pour a jet black color with a light brown head. Expect a rich and complex aroma that mixes roasted malts with fruity esters, hops, and a subtle alcohol character. The flavor is a quite intense experience with coffee and dark chocolate dominating and hop bitterness and alcohol rounding out everything. The mouthfeel is full bodied and chewy with a smooth warmth from the alcohol. Due to the strength of this beer make sure to put some bottles away to enjoy after a year or two.
