Sterling’s Sculpted Spin on Rabea’s Searing Sabre As Rabea Massaad’s suite of searing 6-strings expands, Sterling by Music Man takes up the mantle of delivering explosive, expressive supports to the masses, with its Rabea Massaad Artist Series Sabre. Like its EBMM predecessors, these sonic weapons pay homage to the Tarnished’s gauntlet of attrition in The Lands Between. A lightweight nyatoh body is topped with an eye-grabbing flame maple veneer, sporting a slightly modified Sabre shape that Sweetwater guitarists love for its recessed lower horn, which allows superior upper-fret access. The ultra-stable roasted maple neck features a custom neck carve that starts with a somewhat thick feel toward the nut, then smooths out as you climb the ebony fingerboard’s heavy-duty frets. Under the hood, you get two Sterling by Music Man–designed humbuckers, along with a versatile 5-way switch and coil splits — a combo spec’d out by Rabea to cover both
