The display counts down (from 6 to 1), indicating that the memory has been cleared. -When "L" flashes, put the engine in neutral and let it idle. -The display will flash "1". Select first gear, release the clutch, and keep the engine speed above idle. As the device learns gears, the display flashes faster. -When the display shows "2", select second gear. -Repeat this process until all gears (5 or 6) have been learned. -The device is now programmed and should display the gears correctly.Now, when you turn on the ignition switch, the display will count forward (1 to 6), indicating it is working correctly.Other:If some gears are displayed incorrectly, reset the device and reconfigure it. If you have changed the gear ratio (installed a front or rear sprocket), or installed a tachometer (or other tachometer calibrator), you may need to reset and reconfigure. Turn the device off and on 6 times consecutively while the display counts to 3, 4, or 5. You can turn the display on/off by turning the ignition key on/off. The next time you turn the device on, the display will count backward (6 to 1501). At this point, the memory has been cleared, and you can perform the setup procedure.
