The Simple Hexapod Chassis is a great hexapod kit for beginners. Hexapod's are a popular robot design but they usually tend to be either 3 servos or 18 servos. This hexapod uses 12 servos and has 2 DOF legs. Although, this does not give the same range of motion as 3 DOF legs, you can still travel in any direction as well as rotate on the spot. The assembly of this robot is also very simple. Simply supply a servo controller and some power and you're ready to go.
