Remington Industries offers this Polyester Film Electrical Tape #56, which is commonly used in wrapping coils, capacitors, wire harnesses, transformers, shaded pole motors, and fractional-horsepower motors. Designed for continuous operation not exceeding 130 deg. C per UL and CSA listings, the tape is coated on one side with a pressure-sensitive adhesive that does not require any heat, moisture, or other preparation to properly bond. The yellow polyester film backing plus the thermosetting rubber adhesive make for an industrial-grade tape with a minimum breaking strength of 20 lb/in. The tape comes on rolls of 72 yards (65.8 meters), which have a 5-year shelf life from the date of manufacture when properly stored.
