These intelligent fish can recognize their owners and display curious, interactive behavior, though they may become territorial as they mature. Best suited for intermediate to advanced hobbyists, Niger Triggerfish require stable water conditions, strong filtration, and a minimum tank size of 75 gallons. They are generally compatible with larger, similarly-sized fish but should be housed with caution around smaller species or delicate invertebrates. Their resilience and engaging nature make them a rewarding addition to a well-maintained reef or fish-only setup.
