Microsorum Pteropus Narrow Leaf

Microsorum pteropus ‘Narrow Leaf’, also known as Java Fern Narrow Leaf, is a slimmer variation of the classic Java Fern. Its long, narrow leaves stay relatively thin, giving it a cleaner, more streamlined look compared to broader varieties. It grows well in low light conditions and is very forgiving across a wide range of aquarium parameters. Recently reclassified as Leptochilus pteropus, this plant is still widely known in the aquarium hobby as Microsorum pteropus.

Like other Java Ferns, this plant is epiphytic and can be attached directly to driftwood, rocks, or aquarium decor using thread or glue. Make sure to keep the rhizome above the substrate to prevent rot. Propagation is easy—simply cut or divide the rhizome and reattach as needed.
