The Carbon Chair speaks of dedicated craftsmanship in connection to high tech materials only made possible by personal excitement and passion. The strongest carbon fibers are ten times stronger than steel and also much lighter. By ingeniously overlapping the fibers where the base meets the seat, the Carbon Chairs are stronger than steel, but still so light you can lift it with one finger.

The Carbon Collection was designed by Bertjan Pot. He is a designer, probably best known for his Masks and Random Light. The light started as a material experiment, which is basically the start of each product created by Studio Bertjan Pot. The outcome is usually an interior product, showing a fascination for techniques, structures, patterns and colors. Most experiments start quite impulsively by a certain curiosity for how things could function or something could look. From there, he takes on challenges with manufacturers to explore possibilities and push boundaries, where he can. Every challenge brings a new reward.
