Astral - Techyak

The Astral Techyak is designed for the days that start on a portage trail and end on a rocky shoreline. The 100% recycled rPET 3D mesh upper breathes well and dries fast, making it genuinely versatile across the kind of mixed terrain that Canadian paddling trips tend to throw at you. TPU reinforcements at the toe, heel, and medial panel add durability where trail shoes typically wear out first.

Underfoot, the Trail Grip 2 outsole uses Astral's G.15 Rubber compound to handle wet roots, loose gravel, and slick rock with the same grip their water shoes are known for. The zero-drop Level Footbed and wider Biodynamic toe box put your foot in a natural position, which pays off on longer days when mileage starts to accumulate. The 7mm drop-in EVA midsole is rechargeable and replaceable, so when it packs out you can swap it rather than replace the whole shoe.

At 278 grams per shoe, this is a lightweight hiking and outdoor shoe that holds its own on serious terrain without sacrificing the comfort of a natural fit.
