Ultralight breathability. Proven comfort. Built for high-output days.

2.6 oz GridFlow™ Polyester is a unique performance apparel fabric engineered for makers who demand comfort, airflow, and versatility. Constructed from 100% moisture-wicking polyester, GridFlow dries quickly, breathes exceptionally well, and delivers reliable comfort during sustained movement—making it ideal for ultralight apparel where heat and moisture management matter most.

Originally developed and proven in premium performance apparel, GridFlow uses an advanced disappearing-yarn technology that leaves behind a subtle grid of micro-openings for exceptional airflow. Trusted by demanding athletes and major brands, this fabric is now available directly to makers—offered in exclusive custom colors and compatible with our full suite of technical printing services.

Why GridFlow?

  • Exceptional Breathability: Alkali-dissolving yarns create micro-perforations that improve airflow and moisture transfer.
  • Lightweight Performance: At just 2.6 oz/yd2, this fabric delivers quick-dry comfort without sacrificing durability or structure.
  • Comfortable Stretch: Mechanical, minimal 4-way stretch moves with you while maintaining shape and long-term wearability.
  • Better by Design: Finished with a C0 DWR for light weather resistance and a reduced environmental impact.
  • Woven: This fabric is a woven shirting material. Although there is more stretch than a standard ripstop material, there is less than a fabric with added elastic fibers. Please make note of that in your patterning and project development.

Ideal uses include technical shirts, sun hoodies, quarter-zips, breathable panels in lightweight bottoms, and any technical apparel where airflow, moisture control, and comfort are critical. Can also be used for mesh pockets, linings and bags (think laundry bags or packing cubes)
